Case study: 330 stools for MEININGER Hotel Kraków - functional design with style – serving as both bedside table and stool.

Round plywood stool used as a minimalist bedside table in a double room at MEININGER Kraków, with wall mural "the city of chess & royalty".
Client: MEININGER Hotel Kraków, Poland
Product: Round plywood stool
Finish: Light oak oil
Quantity: 330 pieces
Function: Bedside table & stool
The Challenge
For their newest Kraków location, MEININGER Hotels was looking for a single furniture piece that could serve two different functions across all rooms:
-
A compact bedside table,
-
And a stool for seating at desks or shared areas.
The challenge: find one item that blends flexibility, design, and robustness — perfectly suited for high-traffic hotel use.
The Solution
We proposed our round plywood stool, one of the most versatile pieces in our collection. Its lightweight, tripod design and clean silhouette allowed it to function beautifully in multiple spaces.
Finished in a light oak oil, the stool complemented the hotel’s interior palette — natural wood tones, contemporary lines, and playful graphic walls.

Dual role in every room
This project showcased the multifunctionality of good design:
-
As a nightstand next to beds in both private and shared rooms
-
As a stool at small round tables and desk setups
Thanks to their compact form and durable construction, the stools enhanced both aesthetics and usability without visual clutter.
