Mid-Century Growing Desk · Adjustable Height

Most children's desks are plastic, and most get thrown out. This one is birch — the same wood, the same joinery as everything else we make — and it moves with the child: six positions, 48.5 to 73.5 cm, five centimetres apart. Start at four years old, finish at fourteen.

Raising it takes a hex key and five minutes. There's no mechanism to wear out and nothing to break — which is why it outlasts the childhood it was bought for. Afterwards it becomes a side table, or someone else's first desk.

Made to order in our Poznań workshop from certified Finnish birch, hand-finished with a non-toxic matte hard-wax oil — safe for the people most likely to chew on it. Ships flat-packed.
