The Discovery

Ester first came across our designs on Etsy and was immediately drawn to their clean, modular aesthetic. Her message was clear:

"Very beautiful! We are currently looking at the wall units as we have quite some books to store. Still deciding if we want a desk added as well."

While she loved the look of the pieces, choosing the right color proved a challenge. Our images featured multiple tones, and she wasn’t sure how "walnut", "teak", or "oak" would translate in real life. That’s when we suggested ordering our plywood finish samples — available through our online store — to test tones directly in her home setting.

The Solution

Once the samples arrived, Ester quickly settled on our Light Oak finish, which offered the warmth she was looking for — a tone somewhere between natural birch and golden teak. We then worked together to configure a wall unit that would perfectly fit her space.

The final layout:

• Maxi Bookcase W74 with drawers (H190 cm)
• Midi Bookcase W74 with open cabinet (H140 cm)
• Mini Bookcase W74 with cabinet and inner shelf (H90 cm)
  Total width: 222 cm

This composition offered the ideal balance of drawers, open shelves, and closed storage – all aligned vertically in a harmonious stepped layout.

Why It Works
